Mental Health in the Workplace

With last week being the International Week of Happiness at Work, we thought there was no better time to discuss how we ensure our team feels happy, heard and seen within our workspaces.

You might’ve seen our exciting new venture, Think Further, whereby we intend to further our impact and give back to the wider community. This would not be possible without emphasising the importance of supporting our team and ensuring they feel safe at Think.

We take the care of our team seriously. Knowing full well the repercussions and emotional affects of Covid are not going anywhere soon, we have decided to undertake as a team an 8-week mindfulness course! Every week for the next 8 weeks we are speaking with a qualified Mindfulness and Compassion coach, taking a step back from our daily woes to fully appreciate the nature of Mindfulness – that is, according to Jon Kabat Zin, paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally.

We’re all currently reading Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penmann. We’ll keep you updated on how the book and course goes and see if it is something you’d want to implement in your own company!
