Really happy to be talking about this donation for Christians Against Poverty (CAP). Christians Against Poverty is a UK-based organisation specialising in debt counselling for people in financial difficulty, including those in need of bankruptcy or insolvency. In areas where financial literacy is sparse and the repercussions of Covid are continuously felt, charities like CAP really help offset the anxiety that such problems bring, and help people get back on their feet
We have been speaking with the CAP South London team and towards the end of 2021, we were luckily invited to provide Christmas hampers for clients of CAP from Mitcham and Wimbledon. As a lot of our team are based in South London, this was a truly great experience to reconnect with those in our local community. Not only being able to provide people with some lovely Christmas presents, but also to sit down and have a chat with all of the CAP clients put forward was a wonderful experience, one we won’t forget for a long time.
Now this year we are pleased to announce we’ve donated £5,000 to Christians Against Poverty! Our donation will be going towards the local Debt Centre and wider CAP funding, enabling CAP to get connected with more clients. More specifically for our local Debt centre, these funds will help offset a reduction in monies from the local Food Bank.
We’re so happy to have been able to help and uphold our Think Further promise to such a worthy cause, and can’t wait to catch up with the clients we met last year to see how they’re doing.
